INTO THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
Vancouver, BC – October 26 & 27, 2018 – REGISTER HERE
We would like to invite the pastors and church leaders of the BC Association to join our Executive Minister, Bob Krahn, on Oct. 26 – 27, 2018 (Friday – Saturday) for a challenging workshop on reaching our neighbourhoods for Christ. Forge Canada, NABC and our BC Association have joined together to bring this event to the Metro-Vancouver area. While the cost is $100 per person for the two day event, NAB and the BC Association will cover the full cost for the first registrant from each BC Association church. For all other registrants from your church it will only cost you $10 per person (that’s a 90% savings). This should give you some indication about the high value that we are putting on this seminar. This is an excellent opportunity to bring your key leaders together as we equip them for mission. Thank you Cam for your generosity to our Association pastors and leaders.
Registration:
Please REGISTER HERE no later than October 19, 2018 for the BC Association subsidized rates.
Schedule:
Day 1 (Friday, October 26) runs from 1:30 pm to 9:30 pm.
Day 2 (Saturday, October 27) runs from 9:00am to 4:00 pm.
- Refreshments and snacks will provided throughout the event.
- Day 1 dinner is on your own but is meant to be a shared meal with those you meet at the event at a restaurant in the neighbourhood.
- Day 2 lunch will be catered.
The Nones: An Evolving Story of Secularity in Canada
WHEN:
Tuesday, May 29th, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm (lunch included)
WHERE:
Southside Community Church, 12642 100th Ave, Surrey, BC, V3V 2X7
WHAT:
This conference is for anyone interested in exploring the changing religious landscape of Canada.
As leaders in the Canadian church we know the religious landscape in Canada has changed. We feel it when we’re tasked with closing empty churches or when churches wrestle to find meaningful connection points with their neighbourhoods. We even feel it with new and innovative church plants struggling to reach those with no previous church experience.
Come listen and learn together as we host a unique conversation introducing Canadian Church Leaders and Planters to the Canadian Missionary crisis of the Dones (those who have given up on church and decided they are better off without it) and the Nones (those who are unaffiliated with any organized religion).
The cost of the conference is $60, but the BC Association and the NAB Conference have graciously offered to commit $20 each towards your registration fee for a subsidy total of $40. This subsidized rate of only $20 is valid for the first thirty BC Association pastors and church members that register.
Register here now and receive your $40 discount! After you register you will be redirected to the payment page.
NOTE: NAB Churches and pastors DO NOT register on the New Leaf site as you will not receive the subsidy, but you can find more information here: https://www.newleafnetwork.ca/events/nones-surrey/

Communication
We are excited to announce that we have created some new ways for you to connect with each other and for us to keep you notified of what is going on within the BC Area as well as our denomination as a whole.
On the Prayer Calendar page, we will be uploading videos provided by our churches so that you are able to hear what is going on with your brothers and sisters and also how to pray for them more specifically. You can visit the prayer calendar page here: bcnabc.ca/prayer-calendar
We have also set up a twitter account so that you can receive direct updates and event notices. You can follow us @BCNABC – twitter.com/BCNABC
We have also set up a private page on Facebook which will allow pastors to connect and share praise and prayer requests within a more intimate online environment. Pastors can request to join that page here: www.facebook.com/groups/313537929166
Blessings and hope these tools are helpful for you!
NAB Triennial 2018
Join us in the beautiful river valley of Edmonton, Alberta, July 26–29 for Triennial 2018.
The theme of the 2018 Triennial is Shaped for Mission. Together we will explore and discover how God’s Spirit can and is shaping His church to join His mission in this world.
Shaw Conference Centre will host the NAB family as we gather together for Triennial 2018. Located in the heart of Edmonton, the Shaw Centre is within walking distance of a portion of the River Valley Park System, one of the largest urban park systems in Canada. It is also within easy reach of much of downtown Edmonton. Join us next July as NAB churches, missionaries, and partnering organizations gather to celebrate, reconnect, and attune our hearts as one to follow where God is leading us. Come to Edmonton for Triennial 2018 to be Shaped.

BC Women’s Retreat
Greetings BC NAB Churches,
We are excited to invite the ladies of your church to the 2018 BC NAB Ladies retreat at Rockridge Canyon April 27-29th, 2018.
Heidi McLaughlin from Trinity Baptist in Kelowna is being welcomed back as our speaker.
We are looking to provide a weekend of fun, fellowship and friends for ladies province wide. We understand some churches have the resources to co-oridinate their own ladies retreats but we are here to fill in the gaps. We hope to provide an option for women who are unable to attend those planned retreats or do not have other options.
We are hoping you will publicize the retreat with attached poster and brochure. We look forward to seeing carloads of ladies from your church in April!
In Christ,
BC Association of WMF
MULTIPLY
MULTIPLY is coming up in Vancouver, February 7 & 8. Register with Bob at [email protected] to get the group rate! Details here: multiplyconference.ca/home
BC Association Pastor’s Conference 2018
Hi fellow pastors,
It is such a privilege to know that each year that goes by has been filled with opportunities to serve our Lord. Now it is time to get away and be refreshed and encouraged by your fellow servants. Our agenda is similar to last year with the exception of Wednesday. In the past we have had a short time of worship and communion followed by brunch at 10:30am. With travel plans, weather and church meetings, this part of our conference is usually not well attended. To allow you to leave a bit earlier, we will have a breakfast at 8:30am on Wednesday. This will allow you to get a good head start on your day.
See the 2018 Pastor’s Brochure for more details and register online today!
Blessings, Bob
